As a type foundry a large part of how the foundry works is by selling user agreements for the fonts that are created. These agreements detail how you can use the font and different agreement allow you to use the font for different things.
I have tried my best to keep them simple and easy to understand. No over complicated legal jargon unless necessary
TERMS OF AGREEMENT
General
By installing and/or using this font the licensee agree to be bound by the terms in this licence agreement.
This agreement is between Bonez Designz and the company and/or individual downloading/installing or named on a reciept.
The licence is effective from download and/or the purchase date on the receipt.
The licence is non-transferable.
Permitted Use and Restrictions
The licence is valid for individuals/companies/businesses/organisations.
This is a Personal/Private/trial usage licence ONLY.
This licence covers the personal and private use of the font. For example invites for your own party, lost pet poster, homemade greeting card for a relative and scrapbooking.
This licence covers use for school/college projects and use as part of presentations.
The licence also permits companies and organisations to “trial” the font to see if it is a viable option for a project. To be used for speculative and pitching purposes.
The license does not cover:
Any and all commercial use or use resulting in personal gain.
This means anything that is marketed, promoted and/or sold wether it be for yourself or another.
This includes but is not limited too
Logos and Wordmarks.
Clothing and Merchandise.
Embedding into a website that is publicly viewable.
Promotional literature, adverts, POS, posters, leaflets – printed or digital.
You will take reasonable measures to protect the fonts from unlicensed and or unauthorised use.
Embedding the font within a PDFs or image (eg. .PNG) is permitted as long as the font subset and cannot be edited.
The font can be used worldwide.
The font may not be modified without written permission and no derivative works are to be created from the font.
The font is not to be sold.
The font may not be distributed, shared, repackaged or included in any online or offline archive, font collection, website or cd rom without written permission.
The Licensee may keep one back up copy of this font.
Intellectual Property
The Licensee acknowledges all rights and copyrights are owned and retained by Bonez Designz.
The Licensee acknowledges that the fonts and the design of the font are owned by Bonez Designz and are protected by copyright law.
The Licensee acknowledges this licence is not exclusive and can be revoked.
Warranty & Liability
Bonez Designz makes every effort to ensure the font works across platforms. If the font does not perform in accordance with this, in the first instance Bonez Designz will aim to fix or replace the font file. If this doesn’t not resolve the matter a rerun will be provided. Bonez Designz cannot warrant the results you may obtain, it is your responsibility to ensure the selected for is fit for your purpose.
Bonez Designz does not warrant that the operation of the font will be unimpeded, uninterrupted or error-free, or that the Fonts are without defects.
Bonez Designs holds no liability for any damages indirect losses, special, consequential, or incidental damages, including lost profits, lost savings, loss of data, or business interruption as a result of the use of or the inability to use the font.
Indemnification
The Licensee shall fully indemnify, defend and hold harmless Bonez Designz from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, expenses and liability other than those for copyright infringement related to the Licensees use of the work.
This indemnification obligation survives termination of this Agreement.
Termination
This Agreement automatically terminates if the licensee, or any authorised person or party, breaches any terms of this Agreement and do not remedy the breach within 30 days of notification by Bonez Designz.
Upon termination of this Agreement all rights granted under this Agreement will terminate. The licensee agrees to immediately discontinue use of the font, delete all copies of the font. The licensee will confirm in writing this steps have been taken.
In the event on an unresolved breach Bonez Designz is entitled to seek and all remedies under law including injective relief which may include financial damages.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
The construction validity, performance, the termination and the consequences of this Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the United Kingdom.
All disputes arising out of or in connection with the present contract shall be finally settled Intellectual Property Enterprise Courts of the Chancery Division of the High Court in London.
Logo/Wordmark usage licence
Logo/Wordmark usages covers the licensee to create a logo or wordmark for one brand. The licensee is also permitted to convert the font into an outline within design software and edit the outline for the purpose of creating the logo/wordmark. If you wish to make another logo or wordmark for a different brand, a new licence will be required.
The license does not cover:
Use for print or digital material such as brochures, leaflets, website graphics, packaging, exhibitions, etc.
Clothing and merchandise that is sold.
Alphabet products such as house numbers, transfer lettering, stencils etc.
Website embedding (@font-face use).
Use in Apps, ePub and games.
Use on social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat, Twitter, Tiktok etc).
Use in video and broadcasting such as cinema, tv adverts, tv programs, programs on streaming services, digital billboards, within streamed content on services such as Twitch.
Desktop usage licence
Desktop usages covers but may not be limited to: leaflets, brochures, point of sale, digital and print newsletters, web banners, website graphic elements, product packaging, exhibition design, workware.
The license does not cover:
Clothing and merchandise that is sold.
Alphabet products such as house numbers, transfer lettering, stencils etc.
Website embedding (@font-face use).
Use in Apps, ePub and games.
Use on social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat, Twitter, Tiktok etc).
Use in video and broadcasting such as cinema, tv adverts, tv programs, programs on streaming sevices, digital billboards, within streamed content on services such as Twitch.
For the creation of Logos/ Wordmarks.
Web usage licence.
Web usages covers the licensee to use the font on one web domain with the @font-face css rule. You can only use the WOFF files provided.
The license does not cover:
Use for print or digital material such as brochures, leaflets, website graphics, packaging, exhibitions, etc.
Clothing and merchandise that is sold.
Alphabet products such as house numbers, transfer lettering, stencils etc.
Use in Apps, ePub and games.
Use on social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat, Twitter, Tiktok etc).
Use in video and broadcasting such as cinema, tv adverts, tv programs, programs on streaming services, digital billboards, within streamed content on services such as Twitch.
For the creation of Logos/ Wordmarks.
Social Media usage licence
Social Media usages covers the licensee to create assets and posts that will appear on social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat, Twitter, Tiktok etc)
The license does not cover:
Use for print or digital material such as brochures, leaflets, website graphics, packaging, exhibitions, etc.
Clothing and merchandise that is sold.
Alphabet products such as house numbers, transfer lettering, stencils etc.
Website embedding (@font-face use).
Use in Apps, ePub and games.
Use in video and broadcasting such as cinema, tv adverts, tv programs, programs on streaming services, digital billboards, within streamed content on services such as Twitch.
For the creation of Logos/ Wordmarks.
Video/Broadcasting usage licence
Video/Broadcasting usages covers the font to be used within animated or moving images. The final outcome including the font is permitted to be used on/in things such as cinema, tv adverts, tv programs, programs on streaming services, digital billboards, within streamed content on services such as Twitch.
The license does not cover:
Use for print or digital material such as brochures, leaflets, website graphics, packaging, exhibitions, etc.
Clothing and merchandise that is sold.
Alphabet products such as house numbers, transfer lettering, stencils etc.
Website embedding (@font-face use).
Use in Apps, ePub and games.
Use on social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat, Twitter, Tiktok etc).
For the creation of Logos/ Wordmarks.
App/ePub/Game usage licence
App/ePub/Game usages covers the licensee to embed the font into one App (web app, mobile app, digital point of sale) or one game or one ePub.
The license does not cover:
Use for print or digital material such as brochures, leaflets, website graphics, packaging, exhibitions, etc.
Clothing and merchandise that is sold.
Alphabet products such as house numbers, transfer lettering, stencils etc.
Website embedding (@font-face use).
Use on social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat, Twitter, Tiktok etc).
Use in video and broadcasting such as cinema, tv adverts, tv programs, programs on streaming services, digital billboards, within streamed content on services such as Twitch.
For the creation of Logos/ Wordmarks.

In these agreements you cans tease the specifics of how the font will be used.
The location (your local country, Europe, global etc.)
The term length ( specific years or perpetual)
Any other particulars such as third parties, transfers and so on
